StockGaines leaderboard record chain
=====================================

What this package is
--------------------
Every published strategy on the StockGaines leaderboard writes one line a session: its
public figures since its logic was locked (sessions, returns, deflated Sharpe, drawdown,
trades, status). Each line is chained to the one before it with SHA-256:

    hash[n] = sha256( hash[n-1] + "\n" + line[n] )   (UTF-8 bytes, lowercase hex)
    hash[0]'s predecessor is 64 zeros ("0" * 64)

Files
-----
  lines.jsonl the lines, one per row, exactly as they were hashed (each is itself JSON)
  chain.jsonl one row per entry: seq, day, lock_id, session, line, prev_hash, hash
  heads.json the chain head published at the end of each market day: day, seq, head
  verify.py a script that recomputes everything (Python 3, standard library only)

How to verify
-------------
  python verify.py
It recomputes every hash from lines.jsonl, checks it against chain.jsonl, and checks
every daily head in heads.json. Compare the newest head with the one shown on
https://stockgaines.com/leaderboard (or one you saved on an earlier day): if they match,
no line up to that head was changed, removed or reordered since.

What it proves
--------------
This chain proves the record was not changed after the fact: every daily line is hashed into the next, so editing, removing or reordering any earlier line changes every hash after it. It does not prove the figures were right when they were written, and no third party has audited them.
