1. What the service is

StockGaines is a research tool for the investments you already hold. It reads market data and your own portfolio, runs analysis and AI models over them, and shows the results with their sources and dates. It is not a registered investment adviser or broker-dealer, and nothing it shows is personal investment advice or a recommendation to buy or sell a security. You make every investment decision.

The service places orders in a brokerage account in two ways only, and today only for the site's owner. An order the owner drafts in the chat is placed when the owner clicks Confirm on its card and enters a fresh code from an authenticator app. An automated strategy account the owner opens with a dollar amount may send orders through SnapTrade without a click for each order, within the limits set for that account. For every other user the service places no orders, and brokerage links are read-only. A simulated paper portfolio may run on your account; it uses no money and reaches no broker.

2. The beta

During the beta the service is free and open by invitation only. Features, limits and these terms may change; when the terms change you are asked to accept the new version before you continue. Paid plans, when they start, are described on the pricing page before you choose one.

3. Your keys and your costs

The service runs on your own Anthropic API key and your own market-data keys. You pay those providers directly under your agreements with them, and their terms apply to your use. Spend caps in Settings stop the service's calls on your AI key when reached; your provider's own limits also apply. We do not mark up or resell those services.

4. Your account and your data

You are responsible for your sign-in and for the keys you add. Your portfolio, settings and conversations are yours; we use them only to run the service for you, as the privacy notice describes. Keys are stored encrypted and are never shown to the AI models.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use the service to break the law or a data provider's terms, to reach another user's data, to probe or overload the service, or to resell its output. We may suspend an account that does.

6. No warranty; limits

Market data can be late or wrong, AI models make mistakes, and past or simulated results do not predict future returns. The service is provided as is, without warranties, and to the extent the law allows we are not liable for investment losses or for decisions you make using it. See the investment disclaimer.

7. Ending

You may stop using the service at any time. We may end the beta or an account with notice, except where an account breaks section 5.
